Project narrative

On October 8, 2015, the head of the Nam District of Ulsan and Liaoyang City agreed to creating a park in the Nam District to symbolize their friendship. Construction for the park began on March 12, 2016 and the park was complete on May 18, 2016. The park was named Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village Baektap Park and a completion ceremony was held on May 26, 2016. While the value of Liaoyang City's contribution to the park project is unknown, the area does include a miniature Liaoyang White Pagoda donated by Liaoyang City.
