Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On March 23, 2020, the Chinese Government delivered a donation of 1 million surgical masks to South Korea, where the masks were sent to regional Red Cross offices in addition to other hospitals and South Korean agencies. The Red Cross in South Korea announced that the masks would be given to vulnerable members of the population, migrant workers, and medical workers. The estimated value of the donation is USD 700000. The donation represents a second wave of COVID-19 support following a donation to South Korea of 1 million medical masks, 100,000 N95 respirator masks, and 10,000 items of protective clothing in the same month (Record ID#101261).
