Project narrative

On January 28, 2022, the 16th Chinese medical team to Botswana donated 6,000 N95 face masks, 10,000 surgical masks, 2,000 isolation clothes, 240 pieces of protective clothing, and 960 face shields to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital to support Botswana's fight against COVID-19. The monetary value of this donation was BWP 300,000. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. Wu Zhaohui, the leader of the 16th China Medical Team in Francistown, Dr. Kobamelo Motshidisi, the Clinical Manager at the Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, and other medical team members attended the ceremony.
