Project narrative

On January 14, 2022, China's 16th medical team to Lesotho completed its training. This 16th medical team to assist Lesotho was dispatched by the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission. The team members came from Wuhan First Hospital, Central Hospital, Fourth Hospital, Children's Hospital, Pulmonary Hospital, Hanyang Hospital, Hankou Hospital, and Venezuela’s Center for Foreign Exchange and Cooperation. On March 10, 2022, the medical team was welcomed at Moshoeshoe Airport, Lesotho to begin their mission. The medical team included six doctors, two women and four men with different specialities being; an orthopaedics, gynaecologist, general surgeon, anaesthetist and an internal medicine specialist. These six doctors started their duties at Motebang Hospital on March 24th after two weeks of quarantine.
