Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In 2021, China-Zambia Agricultural Technologies Demonstration Center (ATDC) provided an oyster mushroom growing training program for Zambia farmers. The demonstration center has been conducting training for an average of 20 farmers per week with farmers. Additionally, the demonstration center worked with Zambia civil society organizations whose members received training and subsequently could train others in different parts of the country. The Agricultural Technologies Demonstration Center was funded by a 2007 Chinese grant (captured via Record ID#2342), as part of the Chinese government initiative across Africa to consolidate the China-Africa trade and agriculture cooperation.
