Project narrative

In January 2008, Chinese media announced that China would donate six rare fossils of priceless value to Australia. The fossils were received by Australia as of May 25, 2008, and were to be immediately displayed at the Melbourne Museum. The donation was a gesture of gratitude after Australia helped China recover 750 kilograms of stolen artifacts in 2004. The six fossils were from this group of stolen items.
