In November 2022, China and Sudan signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement worth RMB 17 million for Phase II of the New Presidential Palace Technical Cooperation Project ("China-Arab Summit Opens Up New Prospects for China-Sudan Cooperation"). In remarks given during the China-Arab Summit in December 2022, the Chinese Ambassador to Sudan said that this agreement would increase the amount of grant assistance to over RMB 17 million.
