Project narrative

On October 21, 2016, the Chinese Embassy donated a collection of 23 volumes of paintings from the Song dynasty era to Freie Universität Berlin's Art History Library. The donated works were published by Zhejiang University Center for Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy in 2011 and were no longer in print at the time of donation. The donation ceremony was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Germany, the vice president of Zhejiang University Press Co., Ltd, and various academics of the German university.
