Project narrative

On January 14, 2022, Tanzanian authorities launched the enhancement of the civil aviation safety oversight systems project, which is financed by a $1 million grant from the Chinese government through its South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund (SSCAF). The main purpose of the project, which would be implemented for one year by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) through its Technical Cooperation Bureau, is to provide technical assistance to Tanzania to enhance its aviation safety oversight system.
