Project narrative

On June 20, 2022, China's Ambassador to Somalia Fei Shengchao and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of Somalia signed emergency food aid documents. On October 1, 2022, China's emergency food aid to Somalia arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu. Chinese Ambassador Fei Shengchao attended the handover ceremony. The food aid was meant to help Somalia ameliorate its ongoing famine.
