Project narrative

On September 16, 2022, the Chinese Embassy provided a $10,000 grant to the a program regarding the economic empowerment of women in Kiribati. This is the second year of providing grant for $10,000. The grant went to Kindling Kiribati, an NGO created to assist female entrepreneurs learn business skills essential to starting successful micro enterprises. At the time the grant was presented, Kindling Kiribati had 205 participating female entrepreneurs who were paying off $52,800 in micro loans.
