Full Description

Project narrative

Between October 28 and November 11, 2022, a Medical Expert Team from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China travelled to Pakistan to assist in post-disaster medical and epidemiological care following severe flooding in the country. The team was composed of medical experts working with the Guanxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's Health Commission, Foreign Affairs Office, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and People's Hospital, as well as the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of Guangxi Medical University. During their time in Pakistan, the Guangxi Medical Expert Team worked with Pakistani authorities on post-flood disease prevention, trained Pakistani personnel in providing post-disaster medical assistance, and travelled to some of the most affected areas to provide medical care and donate supplies.
