Project narrative

On January 20, 2022, the 22nd Chinese Medical Team to Rwanda donated a consignment of COVID-19-related medical supplies to Kibungo Referral Hospital in the Ngoma district of Rwanda's Eastern Province. The donation was handed over during a ceremony and included hand disinfectant, surgical hand disinfection gel, medical surgical masks, disinfectant tablets, disposable protective clothing, disposable operating coats, and disposable medical surgical masks.

Staff comments

1. Source ID #195405 did not explicitly mention which medical team donated. However, the 22nd Medical Team arrived before February 2, 2022, likely during the end of December 2021 or during January 2022 (see Record ID#101639). Thus, on January 20 2022, they were likely to be the operating medical group at the time. Nevertheless, additional sources should be found to confirm the donating entity. 2. According to Source ID #197663, Kibungo Hospital was upgraded from a district hospital to a national referral hospital in 2014. Hence, Kibungo Hospital and Kibungo Referral Hospital are the same entity. The Geographical Location section contains information for the Kibungo Hospital. 3. The monetary value of this donation is unknown.
