Project narrative

On July 1, 2015, a syndicate of 19 banks -- including ICBC -- reached financial close on a EUR 2 billion syndicated multicurrency lending facility for Publicis Groupe, a French media company. Proceeds from the facility will be used for unspecified corporate purposes. Lending details, including details on maturity and interest rate, are unknown. Mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners for the facility were BNP Paribas, Citigroup Global Markets, Crédit Agricole CIB, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Barclays Bank, Commerzbank, Crédit Industriel and Commercial, Mizuho Bank, Natixis and Société Générale CIB. Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch International, HSBC France, ING Bank and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A served as mandated lead arrangers. Banco Santander, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China served as lead arrangers. Citibank served as agent for the facility.
