Full Description

Project narrative

On December 19, 2018, a syndicate of ten banks -- including Bank of China -- signed a EUR 230 million syndicated credit facility with Chargeurs, a French manufacturing and services group. The facility is comprised of two tranches: a EUR 100 million revolving credit facility with a five-year maturity and a one-year option, and a EUR 130 million term loan with a six-year maturity. Other lending details are unknown. Proceeds from the facility will be used to provide financial flexibility and long-term growth. A total of ten banks contributed to the facility: Natixis, CE IdF, Bred, Palatine, CIC, HSBC, Saar LB, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank, and Bank of China.

Staff comments

1. AidData is unable to ascertain the individual contributions made to the facility by each member of the lending syndicate. Therefore, equal contributions from each lender have been assumed. 2. Similarly, AidData is unable to ascertain whether each lender contributed to one or both tranches, therefore a unified project record has been created representing a single contribution to both tranches by each lender. The average maturity between the two tranches has been used in the creation of this project record.
