Project narrative

On February 2, 2022, a handover ceremony was held for a donation of anti-epidemic materials from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the government of South Sudan. The materials were intended to help the South Sudanese government combat the spread of Covid-19, and included masks, disinfectants, forehead thermometers and other medical supplies. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. The ceremony was held in the South Sudanese capital of Juba, and was attended by Hua Ning, China’s Ambassador to South Sudan, and the Deputy Minister of Basic Education and Guidance of South Sudan, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Technology of South Sudan.
