Project narrative

In 2011, the Government of China donated 245 LCD TVs and 70 projectors to the Government of Malta.The items arrived in Malta on August 19, 2011 and were placed in storage. On October 31, 2011, the donation was officially delivered to officials in Malta and a handover certificate was jointly signed by the Chinese Embassy in Malta and the Ministry of Finance of Malta. The items were intended for use by government, cultural, and educational institutions in Malta including the Presidential Palace of Malta, the University of Malta, and the Malta Heritage Foundation. Other institutions expected to receive items from the donation included the Malta Institute of Technology and Arts, the Malta Communications Authority, the Malta Sports Commission, and the Malta Information Technology Company. This batch of items was donated alongside a Kayserburg grand piano for the Verdala Palace (Record ID#101900).
