Project narrative

On December 19, 2022, the Chinese Government delivered a donation of 600,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to the Government of El Salvador. The donation included 500,000 doses of Sinovac and 100,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccines, which arrived at San Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport. The vaccines were received by Francisco Alabí, the Minister of Health, who expressed gratitude to the Chinese ambassador, Ou Jianhong, for the support.
