Project narrative

On May 18, 2022, Wang Wei, spouse of the Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe, awarded the Cang Jie Scholarship to outstanding students of Chinese at the University of Zimbabwe. 40 college students with excellent Chinese language performance from the University of Zimbabwe were selected. The award ceremony was held online, where Mrs. Wang was joined by professors and students from the university and its Confucius Institute. The monetary value of the scholarship and its conditions are unknown.
