Project narrative

On February 16, 2022, the Chinese Government donated additional anti-epidemic medical supplies to the Government of the Bahamas. A handover agreement was signed by Chinese Ambassador Dai Qingli and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation Chester Cooper at The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism in Nassau. Donated equipment included 23,000 N95 masks and 6 portable ventilators, which will support anti-epidemic work on Grand Bahama and the Family Islands. Since the beginning of the pandemic, China has delivered seven batches of medical supplies and equipment such as masks, other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ventilators, monitors and dialysis machines to the Bahamas.
