Project narrative

On November 19, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in the Bahamas donated 10 tennis tables and related sports equipment to the Bahamas Table Tennis Federation. Dai Qingli, Chinese Ambassador to the Bahamas, Baker, head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Sports and Culture of the Bahamas, McPhee, chairman of the Bahamas Table Tennis Federation, Huang Zizhen, executive committee member of the Bahamas Overseas Chinese Federation, and nearly a hundred table tennis players attended the event. The donation took place during the table tennis championship to celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the Bahamas, co-sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in the Bahamas, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture of the Bahamas and the Bahamas Table Tennis Federation. After the competition, Ambassador Dai and Minister Baker presented cash prizes, trophies, and medals to the winners. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
