Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On June 1, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe Xu Yingzhen and First Lady of Sao Tome and Principe Fatima Nova distributed care packages donated by the Chinese Government to students at the Fernand Díaz Primary School as part of the Warm Children's Hearts: A China-Africa Joint Action program, as well as for International Children's Day. The care packages were intended to promote healthy growth for the children of Sao Tome and Principe, and included food, as well as cultural and sports supplies. As part of the distribution ceremony, the 18th Chinese Medical Team to Sao Tome and Principe provided health examinations for the students. The Chinese Government also funded the construction of a school kitchen at the Fernand Díaz Primary School, which was opened on the same day (see Record ID #102460). The Chinese Government also donated care packages to students at New Hope Kindergarten and Sao Joao dos Angolares Kindergarten (see Record ID #102426 and #102462).
