Project narrative

On August 23, a symposium was held for 14 students from Sao Tome and Principe who received scholarships to study in China. The students were scheduled to depart for China shortly following the symposium, where they would study subjects including Clinical Medicine, Business Administration, Aerospace Engineering, Chinese Language, Applied Mathematics and Economics and International Business. The nine students studying Clinical Medicine would be studying at Hubei University and West China Hospital. The symposium was attended by Chinese Ambassador Xu Yingzhen, Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Sao Tome and Principe Bai Mengxuan, captain of the Chinese medical team to Sao Tome and Principe Zhang Ming, and several diplomats from the Chinese Embassy.
