Project narrative

On June 1, 2023, an opening ceremony was held for the Chinese-funded kitchen at the Fernand Díaz Primary School in Sao Tome and Principe. The donation was intended to promote healthy growth for the children of Sao Tome and Principe, as well as to celebrate International Children's Day. Chinese Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe Xu Yingzhen and First Lady of Sao Tome and Principe Fatima Nova attended the opening ceremony. The Chinese Government also donated care packages to the students of Fernand Díaz Primary School on the same day as part of the Warm Children's Hearts: A China-Africa Joint Action program (see Record ID #102414).
