Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On May 24, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe Xu Yingzhen and First Lady of Sao Tome and Principe Fatima Nova distributed care packages donated by the Chinese Government to orphans at Sao Joao dos Angolares Kindergarten as part of the Warm Children's Hearts: A China-Africa Joint Action program. The care packages were intended to promote healthy growth for the orphans of Sao Tome and Principe's most resource-deficient regions, and were donated in anticipation of International Children's Day. As part of the donation, the 18th Chinese Medical Team to Sao Tome and Principe provided health examinations for the students. The Chinese Government also donated care packages to students at the Fernand Díaz School and New Hope Kindergarten (see Record ID #102414 and #102426).
