The Confucius Classroom at Confucius Classroom at Polygoon was established in 2017. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Polygoon Primary School (basisschool Polygoon) with a grant. Shandong University was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on September 28, 2017 and it was the 12th Confucius Classroom to be established in the Netherlands.
