The Confucius Classroom at Christ King Secondary School was established in 2010. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Christ King Secondary School with a grant. Shanghai University (上海大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on May 12, 2010.
