Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Loreto College Foxrock was established in 2009. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Loreto College Foxrock with a grant. Renmin University of China (中国人民大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on December 1, 2009. This was the first Confucius Classroom to be established in Ireland. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44181.
