The Confucius Classroom at Amalie Skram Upper Secondary School was established in 2016. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Amalie Skram Upper Secondary School (Amalie Skram videregående skole) with a grant. Beijing Bayi School (北京八一学校) and Beijing Sports University (北京体育大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on September 30, 2016. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44242.
