On October 13, 2022, the 17th Chinese Medical Team observed World Thrombosis Day by educating the people of Sao Tome and Principe on Thrombosis with educational activities and pamphlets under the theme "Eyes Open on Thrombosis", or "Olhos Abertos à Trombose".
