Project narrative
As part of China's continued efforts to make Sao Tome and Principe malaria-free, on April 25, 2022, or World Disease Combat Day, the 17th Chinese Medical Team relocated to the Caldeiras community in the Lobata District. At the Caldeiras Primary School (a Escola Primária de Caldeiras), the medical team held a lecture for about 100 members of the community, mainly including teachers and students. At the end of the lecture, the team donated materials to the Caldeiras community that can help in preventing malaria as well as school supplies (mosquito nets, backpacks, pencils, notebooks, sweaters, hats, anti-mosquito coils, etc.) which is represented by Record ID#102567. Caldeiras is the first Poverty Reduction Village in Sao Tome and Principe.
