Project narrative

As part of China's pilot program to reduce poverty in the Caldeiras community in the interior of the Sao Tome island, on April 21, 2022, the 17th Chinese Medical Team offered a "Day of Free Consultations" to the people of Caldeiras. More than 120 residents received medical check-ups, more than 30 of which were children between the ages of 10 and 12. The team included cardiologists, surgeons, gynaecologists, stomatologists, and acupuncture specialists.
