Project narrative

On September 19, the opening ceremony of the 2022 Timor-Leste Food Processing and Preservation Technology Training Course was held online. Luo Yanqin, Assistant to the General Manager of China Food Fermentation Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd. And Li Xiaofeng, Third Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste, attended the opening ceremony. Assistant Luo Yanqin thanked the Embassy's Economic and Commercial Office and the Timorese Economic, Health and Food Inspection and Supervision Bureau for their support in hosting this training course. The 2022 Timor-Leste Food Processing and Preservation Technology Training Course is a bilateral online training course organized by the Chinese government at the request of the Timorese government and under the strong coordination and promotion of the Economic and Commercial Office. It is hosted by the China Food Fermentation Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd. and lasts for 30 days. A total of 17 Timor-Leste trainees participated in the training, and the trainees learned about China's advanced technology and experience in agricultural product processing and food preservation. The closing ceremony was on October 18th, 2022.
