Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Technical University of Ostrava was established on August 29, 2017. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing the VSB - Technical University of Ostrava with a grant. Hebei GEO University (河北地质大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on March 20, 2018. This was the first Confucius Classroom to be established in the Czech Republic.
