The Confucius Classroom at Convitto Nazionale "Vittorio Emanuele II" was established on December 1, 2009. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Convitto Nazionale "Vittorio Emanuele II" with a grant. The classroom was under the Confucius Institute at University of Rome La Sapienza as captured by Record ID#44337. Beijing Foreign Studies University (北京外国语大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Institute began operations on May 12, 2010.
