The Aula Confucio del Convitto Nazionale Umberto I was established on in 2015. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Convitto Nazionale Umberto I with a grant. The classroom was under the Confucius Institute at the University of Turin, as captured by Record ID#44334. East China Normal University (华东师范大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. It was officially opened on May 15, 2015.
