The Aula Confucio dell’Istituto Marcelline Tommaseo was established on January 2, 2020. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Istituto Marcelline Tommaseo with a grant. The classroom was under the Confucius Institute at UCSC Milan Campus, as captured by Record ID#44328. Beijing Language and Culture University (北京语言大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on September 28, 2022.
