The Sala Confucio dell'Università per stranieri di Siena was established on in 2014. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Università per stranieri di Siena with a grant. The classroom was under the Confucius Institute in Pisa, as captured by Record ID#44335. Chongqing University (重庆大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on November 26, 2014.
