Project narrative

On June 14, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone donated 10 motorcycles to the Sierra Leone Police headquarters. The donation was made to help improve transportation conditions in remote areas. The donation is valued at roughly $43473.12.

Staff comments

The transaction amount was estimated by searching the brand of the motorcycle provided in the official source's image of the physical donation, and pinpointing the make/model and price of the bike. It was a "Jincheng JC 250cc Sport Bike", priced in Kenyan shillings, which was then converted into US dollars at the exchange rate on June 14, 2022.
