Sometime between September 27 and 29, 2004, the Export-Import Bank of China signed a $17.625 million USD loan agreement with Rederi AB Älvtank — a Swedish family-owned shipping company based on the Swedish island of Donsö — for the purchase of a 15,999-ton oil and chemical tanker. Nordea Bank provided a repayment guarantee.
