Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

The 23rd medical team to Sierra Leone is from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). They provided multiple trainings and donations throughout their year of service in Sierra Leone. From January 27 to February 28, 2022, the medical team provided COVID-19-related training to 22 staff members at the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Biosafety Laboratory. The training included one theoretical session, and three practical sessions, to improve Sierra Leone's infectious disease monitoring, traceability, and prevention levels. This is the second training session China's CDC has provided to combat COVID-19 in Sierra Leone, the first being in 2020 (see Record ID 93565).
