Project narrative

On April 4, 2022, the Chinese Government donated 10 SUVs and 2 minibuses to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which then distributed eight vehicles to various Sierra Leone government agencies, namely the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Office of the National Security (ONS), Ministry of Lands and Country Planning, Ministry of Information and Communication, National Disaster Management Agency, Independent Commission for Peace and National Commission, and Ministry of Labour and Social Security, while retaining four for itself. According to the Audit Service Sierra Leone's 2022 report, the eight vehicles distributed to the other agencies did have needs assessments and a signed distribution list made available for inspection.
