The Confucius Classroom at Jisan High School was established in 2016. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Jisan High School (지산고등학교) with a grant. Shandong University (山东大学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on April 12, 2016.
