Project narrative

On September 23, 2015, Chinese President Xi Jingping donated gifts to Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington including books, a ping pong table, and other table tennis equipment. During his visit, Xi also invited 100 Lincoln High students to visit China in next year.

Staff comments

1. In May, 2008, the school forged a sister-school relationship with Affiliated High School of Fuzhou College of Education{{Source ID #199911}}. 2. Xi Jinping first visited Tacoma in 1993 as a lower-level party official. That visit came just a year before Tacoma and Fuzhou, the city where Xi lived at the time, became sister cities {{Source ID #199916}}.
