Project narrative
On May 30, 2019, the Chinese Government donated and delivered a six-and-a-half-ton Taihu rock from the city of Wuxi to the San Antonio Museum of Art. The rock was unveiled in a ceremony attended by a delegation from the Wuxi government, San Antonio officials, and the Chinese Consulate in Houston.

Aiddata estimates the commitment date to be 05/01/2018, as the San Antonio Museum of Art states on their website that "the plan was conceived in May, 2018, when the vice mayor of San Antonio sister city Wuxi, China, Liu Xia, visited SAMA while attending the Tricentennial celebration" {{Source ID#199948}}.
