Project narrative

On June 23, 2020 a donation of 35,000 masks from the Fujian province was shipped to Honolulu, Hawaii. 20,000 disposable masks were donated by the City of Fuzhou, China, 5,000 masks were donated by the Hawai‘i Fujian Business Association’s the city of Fuzhou, and 10,000 masks were donated by a group of four Fujian Business Association members. The donation will be distributed to first responders in the Honolulu Police Department, Fire Department, and Emergency Services Department.The city of Fuzhou and Honolulu now plan to become sister cities. The value of the mask donation is estimated at $10,500 USD.
