Project narrative

On April 7, 2020, the New York Branch of Bank of China (BOC) and the China General Chamber of Commerce - USA Foundation announced a donation of surgical masks and gloves to help alleviate the personal protective equipment (PPE) shortage across the New York City Metropolitan area. The initial donation consisted of 120,000 masks and 12,000 gloves. Bank of China distributed this shipment of personal protection equipment between the New York City Police Department, the New York City Department of Sanitation, the New York City Post Office, Westchester Medical Center, The Hebrew Home at Riverdale, and other local hospitals and senior care facilities across New York City.
