In December, 2022, the Chinese Government reportedly agreed to provide 20 scholarships to students from Antigua and Barbuda for the 2023-24 school year. Both undergraduate and graduate scholarships were available for applicants. Then, on August 24, 2023, it was reported that 11 students had received scholarships and were beginning their studies in China.
