Project narrative

In 2001, the City of Kunming donated a peacock sculpture made by artist Yuan Xiaocen to the city of Denver, Colorado to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the sister city bond between the cities. The sculpture portrays a family of three peacocks and stands as a symbol of eternal good fortune.
