On May 6 and 7, 2020, the Chinese Consulate General in Houston paid for the lunches of the entire staff at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana, which had been hit hard by COVID-19. The donation totaled to over $11,000 USD and was made through the nearby Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.
